In court Monday, François Ratté, 38, pleaded guilty to break and enter and theft of guns – seven were stolen – as well as to charges of illegal possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon after having been prohibited, breach of probation and wearing a mask in committing an indictable offence.

The charges date to Jan. 22. Police say they are still looking for a second suspect.

It was at least the fourth time in less than a year the store had been broken into, police say, including most recently on March 14.

Police said two St. Quentin men – Jean-Daniel Guitard, 25, and Donald St-Onge, 65 – were arrested in that case. Both are scheduled to appear in court later this spring.

Ratté’s sentencing was scheduled for June 3.
