Eastern Conference's top hockey players receive recognition

Many school represented as the NBIAA's Eastern Conference players receive top awards

Alexis LeBlanc of Clément-Cormier was named the most valuable player during the New Brunswick Interscholastic Athletic Association’s Eastern Conference Hockey League awards night for the 2023-24 season at L’Ecole Mathieu-Martin.

In addition, Nicolas Nadeau of L’Odyssée earned first team all-star honours as well as a berth on the conference first all-star team.

Following is the list of the awards presented.

Eastern Conference AAA Championship Trophy, Mathieu-Martin.

President’s Trophy (highest academic team average), L’Odyssée.

Shaun Daigle Memorial Trophy (highest academic average), Andrew Ripley, Harrison Trimble Trojans.

Coach of the year, Serge Bourgeois, L’Odyssée.

Kyle Jones Memorial Trophy (best goals against average), William Gray and Alex Mcgrath, Mathieu-Martin.

League Scoring Champion, Nicolas Nadeau, L’Odyssée.

First all-star team – Goaltender William Gray, Mathieu-Martin; Defencemen Simon Gallant, Clément-Cormier and Christian Thériault, Mathieu-Martin; Forwards – Yannick Donelle, Louis-J.-Robichaud; Brandon LeBlanc, Mathieu-Martin; Nicolas Nadeau, L’Odyssée.
