Fraser Papers recalls workers

PLASTER ROCK - Fraser Papers Inc. (TSX:FPS) said yesterday it has recalled 175 employees back to work as it plans to restart operations at its lumber mill in Plaster Rock on Nov. 16.

The company said it has spent $17.6 million to modernize the mill including the installation of a new biomass fuelled boiler, a new lumber drying kiln and upgraded saw line equipment.

Fraser Papers said it will start receiving saw logs on Monday and the mill will restart on Nov. 16.
