Paul Arsenault, AlternaHome Solutions Inc., Ken McPhee, Vision Land Development Ltd., Moncton Councillor Paul Pellerin and Fundy Royal MP Rob Moore, got to work and broke ground yesterday in Moncton. The Government of Canada marked the start of construction of the Moncton VISION demonstration home, an energy-efficient and environmentally-friendly home. The home will be constructed by AlternaHome Solutions Inc. in partnership with VISION Land Development Ltd., as part of Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation’s (CMHC’s) EQuilibrium(TM) Sustainable Housing Demonstration Initiative, which encourages builders and developers to build the next generation of sustainable housing in Canada. The Moncton VISION Home gives people in this region an opportunity to see first-hand a beautiful, healthy home that conserves energy and resources, and reduces pollutant emissions.
