Departmental spokeswoman Gina Talamona, briefing reporters on Mukasey's condition in the wake of his collapse during a speech last night, says he checked out well through a series of medical tests.

Talamona said "the results are in. Everything looks great."

She reported that the 67-year-old Mukasey had passed a treadmill stress test, a stress echocardiogram, and an MRI.

He is expected to leave George Washington University Hospital some time Friday and return to the Justice Department.
