BMO helps Red Cross aid flood victims

BMO Financial Group and BMO Charitable Employee Foundation have contributed $30,000 to help the Canadian Red Cross in its relief efforts for flood victims along the St. John River.
BMO also launched a flood relief program for its customers who have suffered damage or loss of income as a result of the flooding.
The flood relief program will help customers defer their payments on mortgages and personal loans, and a two-month deferral on a line of credit. There will also be help for agricultural clients affected by the flooding.
BMO branches across Canada are also accepting donations to support the Red Cross Flood Appeal.
More than 800 families have registered to date with the Red Cross to indicate they've been directly impacted by flooding.
Credit Unions in Atlantic Canada are also accepting tax-deductible donations to the flood relief fund.
