TORONTO - Some of the most active companies traded Thursday on the Toronto Stock Exchange and the TSX Venture Exchange:

Toronto Stock Exchange (10,245.91, down 129.00 points):

Norbord Inc. (TSX:NBD). Wood products. Down nine cents or 6.7 per cent to $1.26 with 10,156,220 shares traded.

Manulife Financial Corp. (TSX:MFC). Insurer. Down 37 cents, or 1.8 per cent, to $19.82 on 8,879,265 shares.

Equinox Minerals Ltd. (TSX:EQN). Mining. Down 6.3 per cent or 17 cents to $2.52 with 7,570,235 traded.

Western Canadian Coal Corp. (TSX:WTN). Coal mining. Down 2.2 per cent or four cents to $1.81 with 5,577,905 traded.

Bombardier Inc. (TSX:BBD.B). Transportation equipment. Down 10 cents or 2.9 per cent to $3.35 with 5,437,213 traded.

TSX Venture Exchange (1,092.58, up 0.61 points):

Falcon Oil & Gas Ltd. (TSXV:FO). Energy. Up five cents or 10 per cent to 49 cents with 5,510,105 traded.

MagIndustries Corp. (TSXV:MAA). Down four cents or 6.9 per cent to 54 cents with 4,242,181 traded.

Companies reporting major news:

Air Canada (TSX:AC.B). Transportation. Down one cent or 0.7 per cent to $1.41 with 70,608 traded. The airline's biggest union could be asked to vote again on proposed labour contract that would freeze wages until March 31, 2011, after members narrowly rejected it.
