Canadian dollar opens at 80.10 cents US, up 0.71 of a cent

TORONTO - The Canadian dollar opened at 80.10 cents US this morning, up 0.71 of a cent from Wednesday's close. The U.S. dollar stood at C$1.2485 cents, down 1.11 cents.

Pound sterling worth C$1.8615 down 0.25 of a cent, and US$1.4910 up 1.12 cents.

The Euro was worth C$1.6526, up 0.22 of a cent.
