TORONTO - Gold was quoted at C$1,158 bid (US$1,086) and C$1,159 asked (US$1,087) at the close of trading Tuesday by Travelex Canada Ltd., a major gold and foreign exchange dealer.

At the close, silver was quoted at C$18.42 bid (US$17.24) and C$18.45 (US$17.29).
