40 ITS RARE

40 ITS RARE

I’m going to do a rare thing and point my finger at those organizations that I wish to respect; that are the law enforcement organizations.

Don’t get me wrong, I think that the police, customs agents, forest rangers, bylaw officers, security officers, etc. are doing a good job in spite of the fact that our laws and regulations hamper them more than help them. They are told to try and make friends with the very criminals that they have to catch and are hampered in the amount of force that they can use while the criminal element has no such restrictions and can, without warning, escalate the situation into a battle of life or death.

The law makers fear the general public [which is where most of the criminals come from] so they put restrictions on the enforcers so that most of the criminals can get off very lightly.

I am also very much aware of the officers that lose their lives in the line of duty, have to step into very dangerous situations when called to do so and have to risk it all so that they can later say that they were lenient by not using excessive force.

I see these upholders and enforcers of the law being poor leaders when it comes to obeying the law. Forestry vehicles illegally parked on our streets, police vehicles making illegal lane changes through intersections, government vehicles travelling well over the speed limit and official vehicles tailgating those innocent drivers trying to obey the laws that are in place for everyone’s safety.

If the law enforcers don’t respect the laws how do they expect the general public to obey them?

Enforcers, please be better examples of the laws that you are enforcing. You are the ones that KNOW those laws and could be teaching them to the rest of the ignorant public by public example.

[Disclaimer; this is the ‘driving’ part of this blog and I will not go anywhere near the law enforcers other duties; just their driving habits.]

Blog: Always Learning

Hi. I am Stephen Porter; a Christian who is also a normal everyday working person. I have been a Christian for over 30 years. God has gone to a great deal of trouble to let us know Him intimately and to help us understand His way of doing things, so this blog is simply my attempt to help you know and understand God in today's ordinary world. I will not argue with anyone but I will try to expand on your understanding by answering as many questions as my time will allow.
